So let’s take a look at habits. Your mind
has two parts, the conscious part, (which is everything that
you are aware of right now), and the unconscious part, which is
everything else. The role of the unconscious mind is to take
care of everything you can’t pay attention to at one time, in
order to keep you safe - FOR SURVIVAL!
So when you learn to ride a bicycle or drive a car, the
unconscious mind very quickly learns and adapts to do those
things automatically, in order to keep you safe, so even if
you’re not paying full conscious attention, you don’t have to
think to put the brakes on, you do it automatically.

smoke. People usually start smoking in their teens or as a
young adult, and usually because they want to feel more grown
up, or to be part of the crowd.
You only have to smoke a very small number of
cigarettes before the unconscious mind thinks, aha, I’ll take
care of that for you, and actually creates the urge to
smoke.
And gradually, over time, the urge to smoke becomes
associated to more and more situations, and the amount you
smoke increases.

learner, with the right level skill and the right techniques,
